Note to Patients: 02/11/2020

 

Dear patients,

We would firstly like to thank you for your patience and understanding given the limited service we have been able to provide over the last few months.

 

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of a second national lockdown from Thursday 5th November 2020 for four weeks, we can confirm that there will be no restrictions with regards to necessary dental treatment and we will therefore remain opened during this period. We will still be providing emergency treatment and elective procedures following a thorough risk assessment.

 

We at Five Hearts Dental have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment and will continue to follow our high standards of cross infection control to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We will continue to observe all safety measures as done previously, including our pre appointment Covid questionnaire and on-the-day checks.

Note to Patients: 16/08/2020

Dear Patients,

We are delighted to inform you that we have now started more comprehensive treatment at Five Hearts Dental. Our approach to this will be gradual, phased and risk assessed. We will initially be giving priority to patients who had treatment started prior to lockdown.  

 

In addition to this, we are still offering emergency appointments throughout the week.

We are not restarting routine check-ups just yet. When we do, please note that ultrasonic scales will only be offered to NHS patients if there is a clinical need for it i.e. if there is active gum disease, or if maintenance gum treatment is required. Hand scales, where appropriate, will still be offered.

If a patient requests an ultrasonic scale and polish for cosmetic reasons, or if active gum disease is not present, we can still offer this on an independent basis.

 

We understand that this may be a change from our previous practice policy. However, due to the current circumstances surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic, this is a necessary step we have had to take.
