Note to Patients: 16/08/2020
We are delighted to inform you that we have now started more comprehensive treatment at Five Hearts Dental. Our approach to this will be gradual, phased and risk assessed. We will initially be giving priority to patients who had treatment started prior to lockdown.
In addition to this, we are still offering emergency appointments throughout the week.
We are not restarting routine check-ups just yet. When we do, please note that ultrasonic scales will only be offered to NHS patients if there is a clinical need for it i.e. if there is active gum disease, or if maintenance gum treatment is required. Hand scales, where appropriate, will still be offered.
If a patient requests an ultrasonic scale and polish for cosmetic reasons, or if active gum disease is not present, we can still offer this on an independent basis.
We understand that this may be a change from our previous practice policy. However, due to the current circumstances surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic, this is a necessary step we have had to take.
